How do you celebrate Eid al-Adha with children? Living in the UK, I try to make Eid as festive as possible at home and in class. One of the things we do every year is make sheep cupcakes. It has become a tradition for us and kids love it!

Here are my 3 simple steps for making these hassle-free cakes.

It really is as simple as 1, 2, 3 (honestly, check the steps below!)

Ingredients

I won’t pretend that anything I use is made from scratch. I use ready made ingredients, but homemade is always in option too!

1. Plain fairy cakes

2. Mini marshmallows

3. Plain icing, frosting or buttercream

4. Sheep faces (print and cut out to stick on at the end)

Step 1

Start by spreading a thin layer of icing, frosting or buttercream onto each cupcake.

Step 2

Add the marshmallows (kids love this part!)

Step 3

Put a small bit of icing, frosting or buttercream on the back of each sheep face, and stick one on top of each cake. Et voila! You have your sheep cupcakes ready to devour (yum!)

Bon Appetit!
